Sit In! is an annual forum exploring social justice and racial injustice. In multiple sessions, Lansing Community College faculty and staff are joined by guest artists and community leaders who take a stand” on issues they are teaching , working on, and passionate about, and attendees sit in” to learn through creative participation and constructive discussion, and discover their path to action. Spring 2024 Investigating Incarceration: Artists and Activists for Healing and Reform An investigation into incarceration unearths a myriad of complex issues facing the incarcerated, their families, the legal system, and the entire community. LCC’s Spring 2024 Take A Stand! Sit In! focuses on healing through the arts and reform through activism with five unique sessions featuring perspectives from guest artists, LCC faculty and staff, and a special collaboration with the Capital City Film Festival.
